I've been thinking about the history of Our Lady’s little house in Mexico City where the sacred image of the Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of the true God for whom we live, appeared miraculously on the tilma of St. Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin. It was then that Bishop Juan de Zumarraga placed her in his private chapel. This first little house which would contain the sacred image for veneration by the faithful, was built only 15 days after her appearance. All of this happened at the request of the Mother of God who asked for a little house to be constructed where she could hear her son’s and daughter’s supplications. [ continue... ]
